Junior Mobile Engineer

Salt Lake City, UT · In person

The Mission

Our mission is to turn anyone with an idea into an app owner.

Today, Trot funds, builds, and markets apps in-house. Our creator network has produced 17,000+ videos and 280M+ views for 20+ apps.

We're building a factory that ships 100 apps a year and owns a piece of every one.

Who We're Hiring

Junior Mobile Engineer, Salt Lake City. In person.

You'll build the apps we fund alongside our senior engineers: turning Rork prototypes into production code, shipping features to the App Store and Play Store, fixing what breaks, and learning how to make an app that makes money. You don't need years of experience. You need to have built and shipped at least one app on your own, even if it's a side project on TestFlight, and to be able to show it. Fast learners with strong opinions and no ego about being wrong do well here.

You'll work out of our SLC warehouse with the team that funds, designs, and markets the apps you build. No PMs. You talk to founders directly.

Every person at Trot is expected to ship.

How We Work

We're a team of ~10. Trot has never raised a dollar. Revenue pays for everything, including the apps we fund.

Everyone owns a lane and a monthly number. Daily standup, Monday goals, Friday written recap. That's the entire process. No layers, so we expect everyone to think like an owner.

You'll get the budget, the creators, and the trust to take big swings and move fast.

What We Care About

We don't believe in traditional JDs and we don't read resumes. All we care about is what you've shipped and whether you want to win.

Comp is tied to MRR. When the apps make money, you make money.

The Bar

We want to work with people who want to be the best in the world at what they do. Milestones are monthly. Hit them or you're replaced.

If that's not you, don't apply. If it is, apply with a link to something you built, not a resume.
